The following are comments from some of my clients:
In January 2007 my husband passed away. He was my "everything", my hands and legs. I needed help every day getting out of bed and being put to bed, dressed, bathroom breaks, meals, laundry and my house cleaned. I still needed my independence so I wasn't content with an independent living center because I have a business in my home. Sarah filled the need 24/7! Rain, shine, sleet, and snow she or one of her staff is here. I am independent! Thanks Sarah!
My mother is 91 and has dementia. She came to live with me (her daughter) 1 1/2 years ago. From time to time, I need some assistance to run errands, go to the doctor or simply "get out". Last year I called around to try and locate a person who could come to our home once in a while for this purpose. I interviewed several candidates and then ran across Sarah Nelson from "Sarah's Helping Hands". I chose Sarah because of her warm, sincere and great personality. She has been giving me assistance ever since and I am so happy that I made the perfect choice.
Sarah is absolutely wonderful with my mother and my mother just "lights up" when Sarah comes over. My mother really enjoys the time she spends with Sarah. Sarah is always bringing over special things to do with my mom and giving her little things all the time that my mom really cherishes.
The most unusual part (especially these days) about Sarah's service is her total willingness to drop everything and just come over if any kind of emergency happens…One day in early May, mom was not acting right. She had fallen a couple of times. Then, at the supper table, we noticed she was not acting like herself at all. I called Sarah and she immediately came over and suspected that mom was having a small stroke. Sarah helped convince mom to "go for a ride" at night and we took her to the emergency room. Sarah helped us get the process going in the emergency. It was wonderful to have an idea of what was going on with my mom and to have Sarah there. Sarah is so willing to help in so many ways-even small ways that help me, the care giver. I mentioned to Sarah that I really needed to be educated on mom's condition in order to help her more. So the next time Sarah came over, she brought a wonderful book for me to read. It has really helped.
These are just a very few samples of Sarah Nelson's great, personal care that my mom and I have received. As far as I am concerned, I made the perfect decision to have Sarah Nelson, not only to be of HUGE assistance, but also a TOTAL part of our lives.
